Yup… did it again…

Anyone need an apprentice plumber?  (pats herself on the back)  Yup… I did it again.  While I wish this old house would stop leaking like a sieve, it always feels good to fix it.  After we had the boiler / water heater done – there was a leak in the laundry room that I’ve been loathe to deal with.  I let it drip for as long as I could stand it and I most certainly won’t pay someone to do what I can do myself.

So, I put on my bummy work clothes and got to it this morning.  You know after you put out the notices to the tenants, you’re committed.  And this time – it was like clock work, well with a quick trip to the hardware because I only had one 3/4” coupling left.

The longest part was opening the ceiling and tracking the leak north and west about a foot.  Amazing how far a little water will run from it’s source.  I ended up replacing about a foot of pipe just because there were a few suspicious spots around the leak area.

So if you need an apprentice plumber, I got soldering copper down and I have all my own tools.

GREAT job!!! It's always good to accomplish something that you're not really sure of. But, knowing you, you can do anything. Keep it up!
