Wow. So I’ve pretty much been doing overtime since October. Well – I guess I’m one of those. You know the type. The one who does until they burn or can’t do anymore?
Luckily my local co-working family watches out for me. The former owner of my company had a sit down with me and told me to talk to my supervisor – said she’d go to bat for me any day of the week. So the next day I did – she will work with my boss in MN to work out my hybrid job description. So this week I’ve been going in at 8:30 and leaving around 5-5:30 very intentionally. What I don’t get done… I don’t get done. This way they’ll have a realistic idea of what I can do in 8 hours a day rather than counting on me for 10-12 hours a day.
It feels nice. I’m having more fun with my hubby who was a saint. I lost it last week Thursday. Hit my wall – that when all the above happened. I came home and had a melt down in his arms. He pampered me all weekend and baked me gluten free cookies. Thank Goodness For Husbands TGFH
and Thank Goodness For Coworkers who care.
Now to learn those how to use that 2 letter word NO… as in No I don’t have time for that, and No I don’t think I can help you with that…

When one of my bosses used to keep throwing more work at me I just said "What priority do you want me to put these in?" It told her that I was on overload but wanted to make sure I got the important stuff done. She'd then backoff and let me have time to do the things she had already given me to do. Glad they appreciate you where you work. And glad hubby does too.
