Our dearest kitty Gadget (the scruffy one on the right) has been wasting away in front of our eyes. Life has been crazy and I could not really afford to take her to the vet until now. So far all her tests came back good - her kidneys and liver are all okay. Tomorrow we get back the thyroid test results.
If she is hyperthyroid, she'll have to take medication to suppress it for the rest of her life. She's already 16 years old - certainly old in kitty years. I'm all kinda messed up - my head worries about paying bills - my heart says take care of the cat. We're just taking it one day at a time. Please keep her in your thoughts, while I know she's only a cat, she's been with me for 16 years. We're hoping that it is hyperthyroidism and that she has no adverse reactions to the medication.

We are keeping pretty Gadget in our thoughts and purrs.
That's no big deal. Just a pill a day... what a simple solution.... I take that pill every day :)
